EM•1® is a solution of beneficial and naturally occurring microorganisms, containing three main strains: lactic acid bacteria, yeast, and phototrophic bacteria. Wherever applied, this unique symbiotic combination of microbes synergistically establishes a safe and healthy medium, out competing unsafe bacteria. EM•1® is based on the same technology nature has been using for millions of years.
About 25 years ago EM•1® was developed in Japan by Dr. Teruo Higa as an alternative for chemicals used in conventional agriculture. EM Technology showed revolutionary results in crop production and subsequently broadened from agriculture in to other fields of application: composting, household cleaning, waste and waste water treatment, odor control, animal husbandry, environmental remediation, improvement of industrial materials, disaster relief, and human health. Bearing in mind the prospects brought by this beneficial technology brings hope for a balanced environment, EM•1® can be more so regarded as a movement rather than merely a product.
EM Technology is now used in 130 countries, and EM•1® productions centers are located in more than 54 countries.
For the US, Mexico and Canada EM•1® is produced in Arizona by EMRO USA, authorized through the Japanese umbrella company EM Research Organization, and by the authentic green EM logo at the top of the page.
EM AMERICA, located in Texas, has partnered with EMRO USA, and serves as the marketing and consulting company. EM•1® is getting more and more popular in the US in response to a growing demand for safe and ecological solutions. Perceiving bacteria as dangerous is now turning toward greater awareness of the microbial world as a fundamental element of life.
