Composting Kitchen Waste and House Cleaning 

Dear Erika,

I want to thank you for your class on Bokashi and EM•1®.

I learned so much. I am using the Bokashi in my kitchen compost, and my compost bucket doesn’t smell any more.

I have also sealed bags of compost waiting to go into the garden. I am looking forward to seeing the results in the spring.

I have also had fun experimenting with EM•1® for cleaning. A friend gave me two light blue chairs which were very beautiful, but they were stained and a little musty smelling. I scrubbed them then sprayed them with a dilute solution of EM•1®. It took several applications, and now they look brand new. I am also trying it out in showers, laundry, and general cleaning.

I hope that other people will take advantage of your classes and learn more about the world of microorganisms.

Dr. Don’s Mouthwash and Dr. Don’s Toothpowder

I have been using Dr. Don’s Mouthwash and Dr. Don’s Toothpowder for five months. My dentist measured my gum recession and recorded some regrowth from a visit 6 months ago. The average was 5 then and it is now at 4 and I expect more improvement to continue into this year. I was fairly impressed with the results on the health of my gums that I'm having with the use of both of these EM™ products.

Dr. Don’s Mouthwash and Dr. Don’s Toothpowder

I have always had a problem with plague and stains on my teeth, so I have had to go to the dentist every four months just to keep them clean. When Erika gave me the Dr. Don's Antioxidant Mouthwash and Toothpowder I had been using it consistently for about two to three months. The next time I went to my hygienist she asked me if I was doing anything different because my teeth looked so much better.

Mold treated with EM•1®

Coming back that night to the Pacific Northwest after a three month departure, I opened the door of my travel trailer and entered a world of mold. It was after midnight,

I had driven two days…. I just turned on the heater, reactivated the moisture removers and decided to sleep in my SUV.

The next day was spent cleaning. By evening the trailer was drier but the smell of mildew was powerful and I slept in my Toyota for the second night. When the condition still persisted in the morning, I knew something move was needed.

I then remembered on incident of leftover chicken that had begun to putrefy in the compost. I had tried various things and methods to eradicate the smell without success. What worked finally was EM•1®.

So… I found my box of EM•1® - and even though it was out dated, I diluted it and sprayed the inside of my trailer. That evening I slept in my trailer; pleasantly surprised at the speed that EM•1® can work and grateful for its existence.

Septic System Treatment with EM•1®

I have had a smelly septic system for about 2 months and did not know what to do to solve the problem. I was complaining about this issue to Erika. Because I was such a skeptic, she gave me a sample to try. After pouring about a quart cultivated EM•1® into my septic the smell went completely away! 

When it returned about 3-4 days later, I thought a large dose would remedy the problem so went back for more. After adding about a gallon of solution this last time, I found that my septic has been odor-free for over a month and still going.  I have since told other friends that have septic or sewage issues to assist their septic with adding EM•1®.          Loralin Toney.
